About the club:

The Seeboard Caravan & Camping Club
was formed in 1970 by a few employees of the South Eastern Electricity Board who liked to get together for the occasional caravaning weekend; it soon grew into a thriving group of over 70 family members.

Membership used to be restricted to employees or friends of employees but following the privatisation of the ESI industry in 1990, and numerous changes of ownership, which expanded the companies operating area to include London and the East of England, membership is now open to anyone.

We hold three weekend rallies every year, usually within the old SEEBOARD area. Many of these rallies are usually extended to optionally include the Wednesday, Thursday and Monday; offering a long weekend for those who have the time. We also have a rally week in England during late May/early June to fit in with school half-term.

Evening entertainment is a major feature of our local rallies with live bands, discos, quizes, race nights and more.

About You

Five Ashes Village Hall, East Sussex
28 to 30th May

With extra nights
Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday

Hello again folks – time once again to book for our second weekend rally of 2024. I just hope the weather stays warm and dry for us.  Mersham was tad damp at times, but our hardy members braved it. If you remember from our last visit in 2019, there is a gentle slope on the field so wheel chocks (small blocks of wood) would be advisable to have in the caravan – and by the wheels once on site!  As usual with our rally venues, there are no waste bins so all rubbish must be taken home.

Well, what’s in store I hear you ask?  On Friday night we have our usual bingo session in the hall so bring your bingo board and dobber and £1 coins please to buy your strips of tickets!

Saturday will be a do as you please day, soaking up the sunshine - I hope, visiting places of interest or relaxing with a ‘bevvy’ or three!  On Saturday evening we will be entertained by Moss. The brilliant guitarist and singer we have had in the past.

Competitions have been arranged for both adults and children and as usual, we will have Sandra’s super raffles!  On Sunday morning we will have our coffee and biscuit ‘get together’ with prizes galore!!!!  My sincere thanks to all of you that have donated prizes for our raffles.  If you have something to sell, bring it along and put an ad on the notice board.  It does not have to be items related to caravans or camping.  Just about anything!

The site fee for the weekend is for the bargain price of £50.00!  Hot food will be available on Saturday evening – see booking form for details and prices.  So folks, if you would like to come along to our June rally, relaxing in the sunshine, joining in the fun, having a good old natter, usual stuff etc. etc. please complete the online booking form and send it to John Irvine, followed by your remittance, by Friday 14th June 2024Please remember if paying by bank transfer, please add your name as reference. Thank you.

Extra nights are available for this rally – Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th and Sunday 30th.  See booking form for details.  The rally opens at 2.00pm on Wednesday 26th.  Strictly no early arrivals please, we need to be ready (all pegs in place, rally signs out and water on) to meet and greet you – many thanks folks. The rally closes at 4.00pm Monday 1st July.

Keith Salmon - Chairman
